Today in Performance Class we listened to Daniel, Simon, Graham and Lauren. Daniel played very well considering he was playing his piece on the piano instead of the harpsichord. Neil thought that Daniel's first few notes sounded harsh on the auditorium piano and he suggested that Daniel should play less on the upbeat and more on the downbeat. Lauren also played very well. I thought her bowing had improved since DFM. Neil said that Lauren should try to be boulder on her first two starting notes and to put a wee bit more humour into the piece. Graham and Simon played a duet on the saxophone which was cheerful and fun. Neil siad that they had an equal partnership but that they should work on a part close to the end of the piece because they had not established who had the most interesting part.
